SCOTS living in the most deprived areas are 66 per cent more likely to die from cancer than those from the wealthiest parts of the country, new stats have revealed.

Figures from Public Health Scotland for 2019 – before the Covid crisis hit – also show those from the poorest places are 28 per cent more likely to get the disease in the first place.
