240 Scots die as a result of delays at A&E departments – The Scotsman

Hundreds of patients have already died because of delays at accident-and-emergency departments this year, it has been revealed, as health secretary Humza Yousaf warned the number of people in hospital with Covid in Scotland may increase further over coming weeks.

Mr Yousaf issued the warning as he apologised for the “suffering and inconvenience” caused as health boards face their most challenging time in history.
