A community group has branded the River Clyde ‘boggin’ as condoms were spotted among the sewers.

Images shared by River Clyde Environment Group show rubbish clumped together and blocking part of a gate at the river.

Multiple condoms are also seen splayed on the banks of the river, at Downiebrae Road in Rutherglen.

The group encourages locals to report activities to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and they have urged people to take care with flushing certain items down the toilet.
