The SNP’s Angus Robertson has been blasted after it was revealed he has spent almost a month out of Scotland on overseas jollies to promote the Scexit cause.
Nicknamed “Air miles” Angus by some critics, the Scottish Government’s constitution and culture secretary has jetted out across the world in 2022 on official duties.
He has taken full advantage of Covid travel restrictions being dropped by taking in a total of nine different foreign countries so far this year.
Racking up the air miles, Mr Robertson has already taken in the likes of Ireland, the USA, Canada, Bavaria, Brussels, Slovenia, France, Spain and Iceland.
Just last week he flew out to Berlin last month to celebrate St Andrews Day, missing a key Holyrood session, where he tried to blame Brexit for the state of the NHS in Scotland.
Now, the Scottish Daily Express can reveal that overall, Mr Robertson has spent 29.5 working days, almost a whole month, schmoozing diplomats abroad.
This figure includes visits to other parts of the UK, such as meeting with UK Government Ministers in London, as well as overseas visits to North America and elsewhere in Europe to “meet with other governments and promote Scotland internationally.”
