A SCOTTISH council has sparked fury after it emerged they would be axing 130 teachers.
North Lanarkshire Council told staff last Friday afternoon they would not have a job next year.
We exclusively revealed on Friday June 23 how staff were blindsided by the email from bosses – just days before the summer holidays.
It means 80 Primary teachers and 50 High school teachers will not be in classrooms next year.
The move has sparked fury with teachers claiming they were given no warning of the devastating email.
Some have said the move has left them feeling “disposable” and accused the council of “leaving them in the s**t.”
