The SNP and Scottish Greens have little to no “understanding” of the challenges facing businesses and farming groups.
This is according to Carolyn Currie, CEO of Women’s Enterprise Scotland, and Martin Kennedy, who is president of the National Farmers’ Union of Scotland. Their comments came after it emerged that Economy Secretary Neil Gray had warned Green minister Lorna Slater not to make Scotland’s businesses feel as though the Scottish Government is “coming for them”.
Mr Kennedy said many of the policies being pushed by the coalition were “far too extreme” while Ms Currie said ministers “need to start taking into account the positions that businesses find themselves in”.
