AN NHS hospital worker in uniform films herself spitting in food in a shocking video — before putting it back on a supermarket’s shelves.

Christy King, 23, laughs after gobbing in a Pringles crisp tube and a bottle of orange juice while wearing her yellow hospital name tag and blue tunic in the stomach-turning clip shared online.

Healthcare support worker King, from Kilmarnock, helped medical staff care for patients at a hospital in the greater Glasgow area when she filmed the prank days ago.

She places her mobile phone on a supermarket shelf before grabbing a purple crisp can and a bottle of Innocent juice before spitting in them and then giggling.

It is not known which supermarket was targeted. King, who worked for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, appears to have shared the video on social media.

She was called in to face bosses, but resigned before a probe was officially launched.

Healthcare support workers assist nurses, therapists, midwives, hospital doctors and other medics to provide treatment.
