A freeze on new NHS building projects is being imposed in Scotland for at least two years, threatening the future of a flagship programme designed to reduce waiting lists.
A network of 11 national treatment centres (NTCs) is to be built in Scotland to fast track the care and treatment of patients but the future of at least six of these is now in jeopardy because of a lack of money.
