A spokesman for Scotland Matters, said: “They do seem to be becoming desperate. Their case seems to be based on Scotland’s natural resources (but not oil and gas), democracy, Scottish exceptionalism and how similar we are to ‘other small countries.
“They blame a lot on Brexit, but unlike the very active pro-UK side who get a daily diet of SNP fails to comment on and share, they have very little new to talk about. What we have particularly noted in recent months is the increase in new, well-informed, pro-UK people on social media, in particular Linkedin, the business networking site.”
SNP bosses are currently considering a resolution for the party conference that would see the creation of a ‘code of conduct’ to try and clamp down on abuse.
