Sturgeon and Murrell Join Scotland Matters in Stunt at SNP Conference

Scotland Matters, the pro-UK campaign group attended the SNP conference in Aberdeen today.

A spokesman for the group said “We have a long history of producing stunning, satirical images, videos and digital van tours, and our focus today was on the multitude of SNP failures.

We placed “road signs” on the approach to the Aberdeen Conference Centre that reference the ferry debacle, obfuscation regarding the dualling of the A96 and A9 caused by their desperate coalition with the Greens, the growing importance of tactical voting, as we saw in the Rutherglen by-election – and the 16 years of failed SNP government.

We also had a reminder of Nicola Sturgeon and Peter Murrells’ toxic legacy in the shape of a luxury camper van with the former First Couple in the driver and passenger seats waving to the conference delegates. We have attached a picture of our event team in front of the van with the signs, as well as a picture of the sign in situ.

With the recent Rutherglen defeat and bombshell news of East Kilbride MP Lisa Cameron’s defection to the Conservatives, this conference doesn’t look like a very happy one and while our activities were designed to cheer up the pro-UK side, we doubt we’ve lightened the mood of conference delegates.”
