The First Minister and her key ministers have held top level meetings with civil servants about the SNP’s blueprint to leave the UK, according to reports.

According to documents obtained by The Scottish Sun, the meetings were held on November 24, 2021, January 14 and February 3, 2022.

It comes after Nicola Sturgeon said at the weekend in an interview with Scotland on Sunday she still wants to hold a second referendum on leaving the UK next year.

The documents in question show the First Minister, Deputy First Minister John Swinney and Constitution Secretary Angus Robertson held talks with civil servants and advisers.
